Sculpture, Clay, "Annwn & Friend" by Diane Lebo

Annwn, a Welsh water spirit, cradling a little turtle.  From Diane's "Bad Girls and Poets" series, this sculpture measures 7-1/2" high, 4" 2ide, and 4-1/2" deep.

Interestingly, Annwn was also the name of the Otherworld in Welsh mythology. Ruled by Arawn (or, in Arthurian literature, by Gwyn ap Nudd), it was essentially a world of delights and eternal youth where disease was absent and food was ever-abundant.

Created by Diane Lebo, a painter, potter and poet of exceptional talent, who divides her time between her Richmond and Northern Indiana studios.  Diane is a member of the Whitewater Artists Guild
