Early 20th Century Native American (Navajo) pendant with large wild boar tusk capped in sterling silver with turquoise and Italian red coral cabochons. The cap is further enhanced with a long silver leaf which trails down the front of the tusk, and silver wire wrapped into spirals. Handmade wire bail is offset so the pendant hangs straight on a chain. The tusk, being ivory, has dryed somewhat and developed two cracks, the one on the backside of the tusk being stabilized with jeweler's epoxy. This drying is normal for ivory products and should not be viewed as a flaw. Overall length of the pendant is 3-5/8" with a width of 2-1/2." Gift boxed.
