From the 1950's - imported well before the ivory ban - - - extremely fine double strand ivory bead necklace with hand carved rose, accompanied by carved rose earrings for pierced ears. The necklace, which has a drop of 18" plus when worn is composed of two hand-knotted strands containing a total of 196 ivory beads, each measuring 8.0 mm in diameter. The strands are attached to a beautifully carved ivory rose measuring 1-3/4" x 2." The rose carving is one of the best and most realistic I have ever seen, and the necklace is in pristine condition with creamy white color and appears to never have been worn. The matching rose earrings are approximately 7/8" in diameter, excellently carved, and feature 14 karat yellow gold earposts and friction backs. Gift boxed.
