Aurora Fountain Pens
Established in 1919, Aurora was the first major Italian pen manufacturer,
introducing its first fountain pens in 1919. Throughout its history, Aurora
has placed industrial design first, pushing the envelope with new materials
and eye-opening styles.
Marcello Nizzoli, designer of the classic Aurora 88 fountain pen in 1946,
first introduced the use of body pressing by way of aluminum die-casting, to
create a Aurora fountain pen with a continuous and organic form.
A brilliant testament to Italian design and technological wonder, Aurora fountain
pens are still made with time-honored artisan techniques, yet utilize world-class
industrial architects and designers to keep their pens fresh and contemporary.
Reflecting their artistic tradition and internationally recognized design
flair, the Aurora fountain pen was the first fountain pen displayed at the
prestigious MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York, exhibiting two different
fountain pens designed by award-winning industrial designer, Marco Zanuso.
